Kentwood Kombo - Thermo/Acoustic Underlay
Specification
Kentwood Kombo offers a three-in-one underlay at a value-concious price: it’s a floating floor underlay, a vapor barrier and acoustic underlay all in one easy to install product. Kombo features a top layer of high density polyethylene foam with an integral foil vapor barrier, and delivers excellent acoustic insulating performance. Kombo is for use in floating floor installations over concrete or plywood subfloors and can be used on, above or below grade. It’s also approved for use over radiant heat.

Mapei Ultrabond 975 Adhesive
SpecificationUltrabond 975 capitalizes on MAPEI’s Ultralite Technology™ to provide a lightweight, 100%-solids, moisture-cured urethane adhesive specifically designed for the installation of engineered wood flooring. While about 33% lighter in weight when compared to other urethane adhesives, Ultrabond 975 still provides the same or greater amount of coverage as traditional urethane products. Ultrabond 975 is easy to trowel, has excellent trowel-ridge hold, provides quick grab and offers excellent final bond strength.

Mapei Planiseal WFM

Specification
Planiseal WFM is a one-component, ready-to-use moisture-curing urethane
membrane designed to protect glue-down wood-flooring installations from
subfloor moisture damage. Planiseal WFM’s special formula regulates dryness
by controlling the release of moisture vapor transmissions coming through
the subfloor. With its superior elasticity and tenacious bond, Planiseal WFM
can accommodate nonstructural in-plane cracks up to 1/8" (3 mm). It also
reduces sound transmissions in wood installations in multi-story construction.
Plus, Planiseal WFM has been designed to work perfectly in conjunction with
Ultrabond 975 wood-flooring adhesives.

Titebond Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive
Specification
It
is a versatile adhesive that exceeds the APA's AFG-01 specification. It is designed for a wide range of construction applications including wet, frozen and treated lumber. It is also ideal for metal, brick, concrete, ceramics and most large panel-type substrates.
Titebond Heavy Duty fills gaps and irregularities between materials and provides a more solid backup surface. It reduces the amount of nailing and helps eliminate squeaky floors. It also offers
excellent water-resistance and remains permanently flexible.
Bostik’s Best Adhesive
Specification
It is a one-part, trowel-applied, moisture-cure, waterproof adhesive. Once cured, its superior elastomeric
properties provide a tough, flexible, tenacious bond to a variety of surfaces. Bostik’s Best elastomeric characteristics allow the adhesive to move with wood as it expands and contracts. This scientifically formulated adhesive is not affected by exposure to moisture or
water. Bostik’s Best contains no chlorinated solvents or ozone depleting chemicals, and complies with all current state and federal regulations for Volatile Organic Compounds (V.O.C. Compliant).
MVP - Moisture Vapor Protection
Specification
It is a one-part, trowel
applied, elastomeric anti-fracture urethane membrane formulated to reduce moisture vapor transmission from
the subfloor, and bridge cracks up to 1/8", prior to the
installation of engineered and solid hardwood flooring with
Bostik’s BEST®, BST®, EFA®, Ultra-Set® Hardwood or Fast
Tack® adhesives. MVP may be used over all substrates
common to hardwood flooring installations including:
concrete, plywood, particle or chip board (underlayment
grade), well bonded vinyl, ceramic tile, cement backer
board, cement patch/underlayments, radiant heat flooring,
and terrazzo.
